Please outline your interest/ experience in science communication/ public engagement
I am writing a PhD exploring how contemporary poetry interacts with science. I'm interested in how poetry engages with scientific terminology and metaphor and whether the flow of ideas is all one-way or if poetry can ever affect the way that we think about science. I'm also interested in neuroscience and cognitive psychology, states of consciousness and ecology. I'm looking at the work of a number of poets including Michael Symmons Roberts, Lavinia Greenlaw and John Burnside.
