Please outline your interest/ experience in science communication/ public engagement
I'm just beginning my PhD and gave my first talk to a school group a week ago. It seemed to go ok but I think I lost them towards the end. I want to find ways to engage people and not to lose their interest about the subjects that I think are fascinating and important. I know you can't 'win them all' but if I don't try I don't stand a chance.
